Back into the teaching stream

Time to dust off my keypad and get my thoughts streaming into the blogosphere….I’ve been teaching the EE Course in Boston with co-teacher Andrea Hurley, and teaching Evolutionary Enlightenment stirs the mind and the heart and whips up that irritating appetite for change that won’t let you rest, but just keeps joyfully mysteriously needling you for more, seemingly cajollingly but actually relentlessly demanding full forward motion into a potential not yet realized…and it seems to be affecting not only me - the whole class is being stirred on some deep level to consider possibilities that from one perspective may seem ridiculously idealsitic or science fictional, but from a bigger, more universal perspective seem like the logical next step in the pursuit of a leap in conscious evolution.....How about....
….the creation of a new being as the next step in evolution…..considering ourselves as developing organs of perception for the Universe to know itself….that we not only could be, but are responsible for this whole Universe coming into being in the first place and therefore responsible for what it becomes…..
Big ideas, big imperatives, that tend to make the gut contract involuntarily even at first glance! Thank God for Class 3 next week – Meditation – that perennial practice of Being, that zero point that provides a firm platform for diving into the rushing stream of complexity that is Becoming…….

Congratulations to you and Andrea! I heard that you both received applause at the end of the class. This second class is my favorite now.
When you first start contemplating what it means to be part of the process of evolution it seems like some way out science fiction plot. But the more you think about it, the more obviously true it seems. The human mind is an outrageous vehicle for the evolution of consciousness. If you stay with something long enough the mind will find a way to wrap around it. To me, the mind is the most advanced tool for evolution that we know of.
Oh my! That is what my talk in New York is going to be about tonight (shameless self-promotion).
yes thank god for class 3 – it was fabulous – thank you teacher-team.
again it's hard to tell what and how it happened but the field of mediation and the ease of seeing 360 degrees ie be aware of everything – that really taught me how the universe can become aware of itself. 360 degrees is universal.
and also the position for freedom from the onset :: mediation in the ee context is freedom before you actually let go :: that is evolution from the postmodern culture, because i'm not sitting down to get something, no materialism, i'm already free and at ease and aware - wanting nothing.
